Was out working in Kagoshima prefecture (Northern part of Kyushu) for several days.
Had a chance to visit Shiroyama-park where you can observe the whole city of Kagoshima with an active volcano called "Sakura-jima" (Cherry blossom island) in the back.
While I was at the park, I had a chance to see the volcano erupt, spitting out a cloud of ash.
The people in Kagoshima are used to it, and in Kagoshima, when they have the weather forecast on the news, they also inform the flow of the wind because depending on the motion of the wind, the ashes may cover their habitat.
