"Kuro koppe pan" Brown sugar bread with cream sandwich

This is one of my favorite and long selling pastry in Japan called "Kuro-koppe".

You can find it at convenience stores or supermarkets. (Unfortunately, they're not sold at bakeries.)

It is a cream filled sandwich by brown sugar bread.

So, unlike regular white bread, when you bite into it, you can enjoy the flavor of brown sugar.

It's pretty handy (105 yen).

Japanese mythical monsters "Yokai"

Had a chance to take some pictures of models of the mythical monsters in Japan.

Here's some, but it is believed that there's a whole bunch of them all over Japan.

If you travel to Sakai Minato in Tottori prefecture, you'll be able to see a street full of these monsters.

This one here is called "Oni" (ogre).
Believed to be the cause of epidemic or natural disasters.

This one here is called "Kawauso" (otter).
A monster which transforms into people and lies.

This ogre is a unique ogre called "Makura kaeshi" (Pillow turnover).
When you wake up in the morning and find the pillow in a different place on your bed, it is believed that this ogre changed the location of your pillow.

This monster is called "Kappa" (water sprite).
It is known as a good swimmer and likes to play Sumo wrestling.

This nasty looking monster is called "Kubi kajiri"(neck muncher).
It is believed to be a monster arising from the dead and digs out neck from the grave and starts munching on it.

Coming next month

There's going to be a festival called "Matsuri Tsukuba" in Tsukuba (Ibaraki prefecture).

You can enjoy "nebuta" a traditional display on wheels traveling through the streets.

Nebuta is originally a festival in Aomori prefecture (Northern part of Japan), you can still feel how the original is like watching the one in Tsukuba too!!

Mega Potato (huge size french fries) at McDonalds

Went to McDonalds for lunch today, and found a unique menu called "Mega Potato" (huge size french fries).

My curiosity insisted me in trying one, so I did.

See how large the french fry is? Occupying half of the tray!!

Since I love french fries, I began munching on it without hesitation and 10 min later...

Finished eating it!!

But you know what, I guess it's a menu that should be chosen for sharing, and not eating it all by yourself!!

View of Tokyo from Lower viewing deck

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, but here's a view of the city of Tokyo from Tokyo Sky Tree.

Didn't know it's been only a year since it was built!

Was windy on the day I went, and while waiting in line, the announcement constantly mentioned that they might stop operating the elevator if the wind becomes too strong.

Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster at Tokyo Disneyland

Haven't been to Disneyland in other countries, but here's a video from Tokyo Disneyland's Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster attraction.

Here, when you enter the building, while waiting in line, Buzz Lightyear will give you instruction of the mission you're about to face.

It looks so real!!

Oarai aquarium - dolphin instructor experience

At Oarai aquarium in Ibaraki prefecture, you may have a chance to bump into experiencing how to be a dolphin instructor.

This video is a kid giving signs to the dolphin, making it do some unique moves.

The small dolphin at the bottom? It's just watching the sign the kid is giving to the big dolphin.

It was there until the end, watching what is going on curiously.
